Overall Personality: Intelligent, hardworking, and kind, it's clear why Victoria Constance was one of the most popular girls in her graduating class of both high school and college. Very friendly and social, she's rarely alone, hating to be by herself. Despite her popularity and generally sweet attitude, she's quick to judge others by appearance or a situation they're in. Because of this, she can think very poorly or highly of people, when she knows nothing about them. Even if she's stubborn to a point of insanity, she often fails to make her own opinions, instead just going along with the general consensus of people around her. This doesn't happen often, but it caused a lot of problems during her high school and college years.
Loyal to a fault, once Victoria has dedicated herself to someone or something, it's nearly impossible to get her to abandon it. It's both good and bad, as it's what got her a career in law so early, but it's also led to her getting into some bad situations. Still, she's a very intelligent woman, and has gotten pretty good at getting herself out of messes she gets into. Slightly naive, she rarely realizes just what people really intend, and once she does, always feels silly afterwards. With a strong sense of justice, and what is right and wrong, she's always known that she wanted to work in law, like her father. It was only as a teenager, though, that she realized that she wanted to be the D.A. one day, and to help get rid of crime. She's determined to make River City a better place, no matter what it takes.
all reason aside i just can't deny, love the guy...
Hometown: River City
History: For the first fifteen years of their marriage, Charles and Pauline Constance were very happy. They'd been college sweethearts, and after two years of marriage, had their first child, Victoria. Their daughter was given anything and everything she could want, and raised to know right from wrong. With her father working in the justice system, she grew up seeing just how divided the city was, how wrong it was. This instilled a desire to fix River City in her, and as she grew, it didn't lessen. When Victoria was eleven, her parents had their second child, her sister, Charlotte.
Two years after the birth of their second child, Pauline told her husband she wanted a divorce. It was a civil divorce, for the sake of their girls, and soon after it was finalized, she got remarried, and moved across town. With Charles retaining custody of their daughters, they stayed with their mother and her new husband on alternating weekends. Even if Pauline and Charles were able to remain civil during their divorce, it'd hurt Victoria quite a bit, and she became even more hardworking and dedicated to her goals.
When Victoria was fifteen, she entered a beauty pageant at school, on a dare from a friend. After winning that, she went on to enter and win seven more pageants until she graduated high school. All the while, her life was experiencing changes. She went through her first heartbreak, popularity ups and downs, and meeting the boy she now calls her fiance. He was a geek, and every said she was way out of his league. Victoria didn't care about that, though, and fell in love with him during her junior year of high school. They continued dating through high school, and after graduation, he proposed, and she said yes, on the provision that they wait until they've finished college.
Starting university, she excelled there just as she had in high school. When she was nineteen, she found out she was pregnant, but after two months, she miscarried. It broke her heart, but she and her fiance kept on living, not telling anyone. Victoria continues to blame herself, though no one knows that she does, and it wasn't her fault in any way. Pushing past the guilt, she worked her way through college, getting a job in the D.A.'s office immediately after graduation. She's worked her way up to assistant D.A., and while she's been accused of only getting the job because her father is a judge, it's actually because of her hard work and determination. She and her fiance still haven't gotten married, though they're working on plans and hope to get married soon. Over the past few years, she's grown distant from her mother and half-brother, due to disagreements about how her mother treats her father. She's still very close to her father and sister, though, seeing both of them as often as possible.
Roleplay Sample:
Generally, Elodie had nothing against any particular day of the week. None of them tended to be worse than the others, or even all that bad typically. Just because today happened to be a Monday didn't mean there was anything inherently wrong with it. It was just another day, and she had an early shift at work. She'd dragged herself out of bed and into the shower, and an hour later, considered herself ready to go. Her clothing for work was always fairly similar and simple, and she didn't wear much make up or do much with her hair besides tie it up in a bun. Stopping in front of the mirror by her front door, she smiled, and nodded. Waving and calling out affectionate names for her cat, she grabbed her things and left.
Stopping to get a latte on her way, she crinkled her nose a bit when she was back in her car. The coffee here wasn't nearly as good as the coffee she usually drank. Most mornings she made it herself, using gourmet beans and pulling out all the stops to make the perfect cup of coffee. Today, though, she hadn't wanted the hassle, and was reminded of why it was worth it. Maybe she was a snob, but she could be, when she could make better herself. Then again, did these Americans even know that their coffee wasn't very good? Or did they think it was actually wonderful?
Sometimes, Americans gave her a headache. Starting her car, she began driving, humming along to the music playing. By the time she'd parked, she was in a very good mood, and she continued feeling that way as she made her way inside. Knowing that the language arts teacher had good coffee machines and, for that matter, good coffee, she went to her office, making small talk with the woman and managing to mooch a cup of coffee, even if it was in a mug that was geekier than Elodie had previously thought it was possible for a mug to be.
Mug in hand, she started walking back down the hall, pausing as she heard a sigh. Seeing an office with an open door, she poked her head in, and offered a smile. "Rough morning?" Leaning against the door frame, she waited for a response, wondering if that was it, or if there was something else going on. Curiosity was one of her worse features, and the one that tended to get her into the most trouble. She was convinced that that was at least part of the reason she'd lost her brother. She didn't let herself think about it often, though. Losing her brother had broken her, literally, and it'd taken her three years to feel even slightly close to sane again. Of course, part of that could have been because she saw him die in a violent fashion, but all the same, it wasn't something she readily thought about.
