OOC \\
-
respect people. Treat people like you wish to be treated, and if someone is mistreating you you have every right to go to a staff member about it.
-
be literate. You don't have to use perfect grammer or spelling or capitalization, but we'd like to be able to understand you.
-
be active. If you don't post within two weeks of making your character, the character will be deleted. You must have all your characters in an active thread before making a new one.
-
no nagging. Like don't PM someone telling them to post for you, or ask them in the cbox, and don't nag for plots or threads either. Same goes for staff, just because they're on doesn't mean they feel like reading your app right away, they do have characters to keep active too, and other admin stuff to do. If you feel like we may not have seen it or something, just post "app up" in the cbox after a few minutes, and we still haven't read it in a few days, shoot us a PM. This rule is to keep everyone happy. No one likes getting hounded to post.
MAKING AN ACCOUNT \\
-
name. I'd suggest having the user name as your characters name. It just makes things a lot easier.
-
birthday. Have your accounts birthday as your characters, not yours. Don't use all the same one, either. This is because since we run along with real life time, characters can celebrate their birthdays.
MAKING A CHARACTER \\
-
character limit. There isn't one, you can have as many as you can keep posted and logged in. If we see that you're inactive on some of your characters, we will take them away from you.
-
play-by. The play-by must be a celebrity. It's okay if they're not well known, just no self play-bys and no cartoons and PLEASE do not steal some poor girls picture off myspace.
-
naming. I'd like to not to see name repeats. I don't want seven Samantha's, here. It's okay is they're spelled different, or if one of the characters goes by a different name all the time, like a nickname.
-
ages. For Students, the youngest is fourteen and the oldest is nineteen. For counselors and staff there is no limit to how old they can be, but they must be out of high school
-
ratios. For every
two female characters you have, you have to make one male.
-
family. Family(siblings, parents, cousins, spouses) members of your characters should be put up for requests. It allows more plotting between members.
THREADS \\
-
amount. You can be in as many threads as you can keep up with. If we see you in ten threads with one character and not posting but in two of them, we will limit you.
-
tagging. Mark your threads! If it's open, private, or open to counselors but not students, mark 'em up.
This does not count for admits, unless you have asked someone already and they agreed to do the admit.-
word count. What is your character doing? Seeing? Feeling? Smelling? Saying? Thinking? Answer all those questions in your post and that should be pretty easy to reply to. But please.. please try to match what you are given.
EXTRAS \\
-
no power-playing, god modding or sues/stus. God modding is having a super powerful character that can't be beat, this is a real life site. Power-playing is controlling someone else's character. Sues/Stus are perfect characters, characters everyone loves and no one can hate, characters with no flaws.
-
graphics We love them. Avatars can be 100x100 or 150x200. Or just anything that doesn't streach the board, if it does I'll ask you to resize it or remove it. Signatures shouldn't be more that 550 px wide.
-
code word. Dani is a BAMF.
-
rating. PG-13. Your characters can swear, but don't go other the top. Drugs, sex, any of that shouldn't be roleplayed on the board.
-
ask an admin. Before your character dies, or gets pregnant or some huge plot line like that. We'll discuss it and get back to you. Failure to do so will be an automatic no.
